Rhodes is one of the most southern islands in Greece and has a milder climate than the Cyclades and the islands and mainland to the north. Rhodes travel season lasts from the beginning of April until the end of November. Though with the mild climate there are shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels open all year round.
The beaches are clean, the water absolutely clear and among the best in the world. There are many excellent restaurants and cafes, plenty of nightlife and many sights to see; the Valley of the Butterflies, the aquaduct at Seven Wells, the acropolis of Lindos and the old city to name a few. The old city is the best preserved ancient and medieval site in all of Europe. The people are very friendly and the quality of service very high. Taxi, bus and boat transportation available as well as excursions to the entire Mediterranean and beyond.
